Maciej Kodzis is a designer specialising in visual communication. Operating mainly in the fields of science, education and culture for the last 15 years, his work combines extended research skills, deep understanding of complex systems, wide technical competencies and cutting-edge yet timeless aesthetics.
Since 2013, following his MFA at Academy of Art and Design in Wroclaw, Poland, he lectured at his alma mater in the fields of graphic design, typography and user interfaces. He also conducts, organises and facilitates design and visual communication workshops for professionals, students and amateurs and is involved as a speaker at design, scientific and inspirational conferences, including TEDx.
Maciej’s work spans across design and creative direction of brands, user interfaces and publications, data visualisation design, video and motion design, 3D graphics, photography and web technology. His projects were recognised and awarded with Red Dot, UX Design Award, German Design Club Award and German Brand Award.
Between 2014 and 2018 Maciej co-founded and led Pillcrow Design Consultancy. In 2018, alongside his freelance practice, he started working with the great team of designers, strategists and developers at CDLX in Berlin, taking on the role of Creative Director and Design Lead since 2023.
