Stiftung Kunstfonds – Annual Report 2020

The 2020 Annual Report marked a significant milestone for the Stiftung Kunstfonds as its first-ever publication of this kind, designed to serve as a foundational template for future editions. It offered a comprehensive overview of the foundation’s activities, grants, and special programs during an unprecedented year for the arts. With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the art world faced dramatic disruptions, impacting artists, curators, and galleries alike. The report reflects Kunstfonds’ adaptive response, detailing its expanded support initiatives and addressing critical needs across the contemporary visual arts sector.

Beyond pandemic-related measures, the report highlights Kunstfonds’ ongoing funding efforts, including €2.16 million allocated to scholarships, artistic projects, exhibitions, and publications, as well as the recognition of exceptional creative achievements through its various art prizes. Designed to be both informative and visually engaging, the report sets a new standard for transparency and communication, showcasing the foundation’s commitment to supporting the art community through both challenging times and regular operations.
