XIO

The XIO by CDLX project began with an ambition to bring real-time light distribution rendering into the browser, freeing lighting professionals from cumbersome desktop software. My role spanned from conceptualizing the 3D interface to designing the UI/UX and the accompanying website, ensuring that every detail would emphasize clarity, precision, and ease of exploration.

By leveraging industry-standard Eulumdat data, XIO could potentially handle nearly all .ldt files, inviting users to adjust parameters like luminance and rotation from any modern browser. The website itself was reinforcing this seamless experience, presenting technical information in a visually intuitive format and illustrating the power of direct manipulation through 3D navigation.
