Viessmann – Vitosoft, Vitotrol, Vitoconnect, Vitorat

When I joined Viessmann as a UX/UI Designer, the company just started moving beyond traditional hardware interfaces, aiming to make heating controls more intuitive for both everyday users and professional installers. Over two years, I joined the efforts the digitization of Viessmann’s product ecosystem—particularly through designing the Vitotrol app for homeowners seeking remote operation of their boilers, heat pumps, and pellet burners, and the Vitosoft app, which streamlined the commissioning process for technical teams.

By translating technical data points into accessible layouts, I helped both installers and end users quickly grasp critical setup details, from temperature adjustments to troubleshooting messages.

Vitotrol needed to empower homeowners with a sense of control and confidence, while Vitosoft had to build trust among specialized installers who required efficient, reliable workflows in the field.

My role demanded a balance of authoritative design with a certain humanity—incorporating meticulous attention to detail for complex back-end compatibility while ensuring that every screen, button, and icon served a purpose in making the user experience feel smooth and intuitive.
